What a waste of time! I thought Hitch was Hinge, so I downloaded it. Then I realize it's not, because Hinge has good reviews and this one is readlly not good. The app crashes most of the time. Signing up to Hitch is easy as because it will be connected to your Facebook profile. However, all your activities on the app will not reflect on your Facebook account. It only needs it to verify that you are a real person. It also imports your photos and basic information like name, age, location, work, and education which will be kept in private as well.
The sign-up process is not applicable for everyone since not everybody has a Facebook account, but if you really want to try it out, you can create a private account for yourself for the sake of your Hitch registration.
Hitch promises to find you connections by using your network of contacts to find people who know people you know. It does this by importing your phone contact address book. This is optional though if you (like us) are not comfortable giving out your address book (or the private information of your contacts).
Once you open the app, before signing up or logging in, a prompt will pop-up asking for permission to turn on your GPS settings. You have the option to keep it disabled if you are paranoid about your safety. You can always turn it on when you feel like it because the prompt will be there every time you open the app.

The app design is the opposite of discreet. Hitch app-homepage is full of heart graphics which reflects what it is all about. Unlike typical dating sites which has multiple options to sign-up, it only has one which can be a little unappealing to some potential users.
In terms of usability, the app's interface is typical. Nothing very special but are usable. However, there are reports which say that it's not very easy to use or it is impossible to use at all.
A lot of reviews reveal that the app crashes even before you'll be able to sign-up or login. Some even noted it to be a sort of an information-phishing app.

If you are looking to connect with other singles on a deeper level, matchmaking services do this via personality surveys and use the results of this to assess compatibility between members. They also structure their profiles to stimulate great conversations from the outset.”

The idea behind Hitch is that people can connect through the app through shared interests by joining conversations with other users in the local area, leading to friendships, dating and relationships.
Unfortunately during our test we struggled to find active conversations to join and participate in, or active Australian users.
Is Hitch app free?
Hitch has very limited functionality available to free users. Upgraded users who pay for either coin tokens or a membership get access to all functionality including being able to contact other members.

Does Hitch app post to Facebook?
Like most apps, Hitch connects to your Facebook profile to understand your background, dating preferences and your interests. It will import your profile pics from Facebook as well, but it does not post back to Facebook on your profile or newsfeed, nor appear to your Facebook friends.
